1.0 All applicants with receive a maximum of two attempts to whitelist.

1.1 Copy and pasted backstories are not permitted, if found the application will be denied.

1.2 In game voice and/or text communications are mandatory.

1.3 Community members must be capable of understanding and speaking English.

1.4 Community members may not conduct themselves or post in offensive, disrespectful, racist, or sexist manners.

1.5 Players may not create characters that hold large influence over the Lore and/or server story-line. AKA Government Officials, local Military Generals, etc. Should questions arise regarding characters, please contact OutbreakRP’s Lore Masters.

1.6 Players may expresses they are uncomfortable with certain forms of role-play and/or it’s content by utilizing OOC chat. If done so, other players must respect their wishes and adjust the role-play and/or it's content appropriately.
2.0 All community members must be respectful to others at all times out of game. Personal insults, verbal attacks, bullying, harassment, racism and/or sexism of any kind will not be tolerated.

2.1 Spamming, advertising and/or sharing exploits that could harm OutbreakRP or DayZ are strictly forbidden.

2.2 There is a zero tolerance policy regarding the impersonation of any Staff and/or community member, if violated the violator with be ban from the community immediately.

2.3 Glorifying banned players is strictly prohibited.
3.0 Players must stay in character at all times in game, role-play is to always be kept realistic. Players must value their characters' lives and to an extent the lives of other characters he/she encounter. If violated this is considered NVFL ( No Value For Life)

3.1 Prior to joining the server all players must create character pages for each character they will be playing in game. If players do not create proper character pages and changed their character name via DayZ launcher, prior to entering the server.They will be kicked from the server for improper character name/page violations.

3.2 BadRP is not tolerated and is defined as trolling, memeing, playing an unrealistic character, speaking out of character in game and/or avoiding role-play by any means.

3.3 Ghosting is forbidden and is defined by a players logging into game to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Players may log in to assist in events, should they have previously logged out in the same area of said events. Players may role-play being awoken by the sounds of events, but may not login elsewhere and arrive to assist in events without any obtained in-game knowledge.

3.4 Any form of a game exploit including loot cycling, duping or glitching of any kind will result in an immediate permanent ban from OutbreakRP.

3.5 Griefing is not permitted. Griefing is defined as taking items from a storage container and placing them on the ground to despawn. This also includes destroying and/or ruining items so they cannot be used further.

3.6 To utilize any form of 3rd party device for communicate in game, you must at all times have a fully functional radio on your character. If that radio is removed from your character and/or ruined, you lose the ability to transmit information via 3rd party communication.

3.7 Metagaming is strictly prohibited. Metagaming is the use of any and all external knowledge that is not obtained by your character in game.

3.8 Powergaming is strictly prohibited. Power Gaming is defined by forcing permanent effects on another character in the forms of scaring, poisoning, etc. Exceptions are made when both parties agree upon applied scaring, poisoning, etc. of their characters.

3.9 Ruleplay is strictly prohibited. Ruleplay is when players hide behind and/or abuse rules, so they may obtain an advantage in game. Furthering role-play is the top priority.

4.0 Role-playing any form of rape and/or pedophilia is strictly forbidden, violation of this will result in being ban from the community.

4.1 Players are not permitted to impersonate other players and/or groups, at any time.

4.2 KOS is strictly prohibited, you must first properly initiate and obtain kill rights on said characters, prior to killing them.

4.3 RDM is strictly forbidden and results in an instant ban from the community.

4.4 Players may not write their characters' and/or groups' backstories in a manner that gains hostilities and/or kill rights on other players and/or groups. All hostilities and/or kill rights must be obtained in game.

5.0 Initiations are mandatory and must be clear, along with all demands made to hostages. Demands must be realistic and within reason. If initiating on a vehicle and/or vehicles, players must text initiate and give the vehicle/vehicles time to make a full stop. Players may not utilize radios and/or P.A. Systems to initiate on players, vehicles and/or bases.

5.1 When initiating on a base it is required to drop a text initiation as well as a voice initiation on said base.

5.2 If a player aims a weapon at another player, this will be seen as an initiation. Players are urged to utilize binoculars and/or take the scopes off of their weapons to scout areas an/or bases. This will avoid unintentional initiations.

5.3 If players are taken captive and are searched by captors, captive players must relinquish all items on their characters freely. Failure to do so will be considered NVFL, as items are not more important than said characters' lives.

5.4 Baiting is strictly prohibited and is defined by forcing other players and/or groups into hostile interactions.

5.5 Each player that is not part of an official group must initiate separately.

5.6 Furthering role-play is the key focus at all times, the PvP aspect of the game is to never be the primary or dominating focus.

5.7 Hostile Events will last for 1 hour after line of sight has been broken, this includes taking or having been taken hostage, firefights and/or base raids.The attackers/initiators are not permitted to log off for a half hour after hostilities have ended. Exceptions can be made in case of a real-life emergency or agreement reached between all involved parties.

5.8 If players see one party initiating on another and wish to help, they must initiate separately.

5.9 If a player dies during a conflict with other players, they may not return to the place they died, or within 2 kilometers of it, for 1 hour. Players may not switch characters and return to the area in which their other character had died.

6.0 Players can be executed during hostile interactions, if it coincides with the current role-play or they have repeatedly failed to comply with warnings and/or demands of their captors. Including the captive becoming a threat towards their captors. Once a character has been executed three times, this character will be Perma-killed and may not be played again.

6.1 In every hostage situation the hostage/hostages must be cared for. The hostage takers are solely responsible for their hostage/hostages' well-being and must supply their hostage/hostages with needed food, water and medical aid. As well as protection at all times from in game threats, aka wolves, infected and other players.

6.2 Kill rights are obtained when players and/or groups have had hostile interactions with one another. Hostages have kill rights that last 2 hours after line of sight has been broken.

6.3 Players may not initiate on other players based solely on wanting the gear and/or items the other player has in their possession. Players must focus on enhancing role-play at all time, failure to do so is considered GearRP and forbidden.
7.0 Official Groups must have at least 3 or more members and be cleared by the OutbreakRP Lore Master Team.

7.1 Official Group members share KOS rights once a hostile party and/or player has initiated on one of the group's members.

7.2 Group members' activity will be checked every 2 weeks. If a member has been inactive for more than 2 weeks, that member will be given a 1 week grace period to become active again. Continued inactivity will result in removal by the OutbreakRP Staff Team. Furthermore, if a Group roster falls lower than the minimum member numbers required, it will be forcefully archived.

7.3 Official Groups may have Allies supporting them. However in the case of initiations, only Official Groups share Allied KOS rights. Individual players and unofficial groups must initiate separately.
8.0 All Bases must have one form of entry that does not require a glitch or exploit to enter. Bases must consist of a closed off area surrounded by walls to be considered a protected base. If a wall is missing or broken, said base it open to being raided until it is built or repaired.

8.1 Bases must be built realistically, this means no floating bases and no glitch spots. The OutbreakRP Staff team reserves the right to inspect bases and have improper constructions removed.
9.0 In order to raid a base players must be justifiably hostile towards the owners of said base. Players must properly initiate before raiding the base as well. If there are no members within the Base you may not offline raid said base.

9.1 During a base raid players may not to grief, meaning raiding players may not purposefully despawn items or destroy items, walls, gates, etc.

9.2 In the event the Owner of the base base being raided or any Official Group member of said base logs in or arrives on scene. The Owner and Official Group members obtain KOS rights on any player attempted to raid their base. If raiders find the base Owner before they find the raiders however, raiders must still properly initiate on the Owner.
The OutbreakRP Staff Team can and will utilize a voting system in order to obtain certain verdicts, based on what could be viewed as questionable areas in the rules.
These areas are defined as where loopholes and/or grey areas arise, rather than violations/breaks specifically outlined in the currently posted rules.

OutbreakRP operates on a three strike protocol regarding rule breaks/violations.
